As the firm’s senior care and living tax leader, I specialize in providing proactive tax-planning solutions to for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare clients, including extended care and senior living facilities, physician groups, and multihospital systems.
My clients appreciate my uncanny ability to break down and explain complex technical tax matters, a skill that has made me popular with clients and staff alike. Around the office, I’m known for my organization, color-coding, and use of GIFs and memes.
I’ve always had a passion for numbers and was originally planning to go into teaching, but once I took my first accounting class, I was hooked. I love the logical aspect of this field, all while being able to mentor staff and help clients navigate the tax world.
With more than 10 years of experience, I often speak to different groups. Recently, I presented to the Troy Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Association of Fairs and Exhibitions, covering various exempt organization topics, including tax compliance, donor requirements, and reporting. In 2023, the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce named me one of “Tomorrow’s 20.” I earned my B.S. in mathematics and M.S. in accounting from Michigan State University. I belong to the AICPA and MICPA.
In my spare time, I stay busy with a variety of hobbies, including reading, crocheting, walks, working out/Peloton, pool time, and bike rides with the family. If there’s snow on the ground, I’m hitting the slopes.
