Dynamic industries are the engines that make today’s world go around, and I focus most of my time on three of them: manufacturing, automotive, and energy. I’m a manufacturing industry specialist in the Southfield office, and I lead the firm’s energy practice. Although I serve a variety of entities, including municipalities, my typical client is a private equity- or family-owned business.
My clients appreciate my no-nonsense approach, which helps them meet deadlines while staying current on financial best practices and industry regulations throughout the year — not just during the audit. This allows them to concentrate on running their business.
Around the office, colleagues know me for being both easygoing and knowledgeable. I’ve been with the firm since 1997, and I enjoy working with a wide range of people and projects. My accounting career wouldn’t have been the same without Plante Moran, and I take pride in representing the firm within the larger community. I belong to the AICPA and the MICPA, and I give presentations to councils and boards of various manufacturing and municipal clients. I’m also a board member of the Transportation Improvement Association as well as its treasurer, and I’m a member at-large serving the Precision Metalforming Association’s East Michigan region. I received a B.B.A. with a concentration in accounting from the University of Michigan — Dearborn.
When I’m not in an office or a boardroom, I’m usually spending time with my family, whether traveling in Europe or staying closer to home. I find that being the assistant coach of my older daughter’s soccer team provides an excellent opportunity for the two of us to bond.
