As a leader in the firm’s public sector practice, I provide independent and objective advice on best practices for technology deployment. Whether it’s a K12 district, city, county, water district, or special purpose agency, I help them improve their operations with the goal of meeting and exceeding their performance objectives. My expertise includes project management, facilitation, technology planning, the ERP software life cycle, and the selection and implementation of technology systems.
I’m fortunate to regularly present at local conferences. I’m involved with industry associations, including the MGFOA where I sit on the technology resource committee. I frequently get the opportunity to speak to my clients’ boards and governing bodies as they consider how to best invest in technology for the betterment of the constituents and communities they serve.
Whether I’m working with staff or my clients, when I “go the extra mile,” it’s almost always with someone — not something — in mind. When people are frustrated by their technology, I love creating moments of “wow” as we work together to find a better solution. People tell me I’m a great staff developer. Most likely, it’s because I’m an optimist, and I believe in people; I’m consistently amazed as to what people are capable of in the right environment, and I find fulfillment in watching them flourish.
I received a B.A. in accounting from Hillsdale College.
Family is most important to me. It’s incredible how much I learn every day from my wife and our amazing twin daughters. Humor rules our house. I hope to pass on my love of the outdoors, relaxing on the water, and wandering on a trail through the woods.
