As a member of Plante Moran’s management team, I oversee the firm’s management consulting practices, including strategy and operations services, global services, transaction advisory services, enterprise risk management, financial support services, forensic and valuation services, cybersecurity, and information technology consulting.
My goal is to lead teams that help businesses create tangible enterprise value by aligning operating tactics and corporate structures with sound strategic objectives. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with understanding what makes certain companies successful. What are the strategic and operational choices and factors that lead some businesses to thrive and others to fail? I’ve spent my entire career focused on that question as I’ve held roles as a commercial banker, management consultant, dot com entrepreneur, and, of course, my role at Plante Moran.
I joined the firm in 2001, finding a fit with its culture, values and the philosophy that consulting is a profession first and a business second. And while I truly enjoy helping clients, my most rewarding days are those when team members are promoted to partner and other positions they’ve aspired to. I have a passion for helping people realize their potential and “win life”.
Before assuming my role as group managing partner, I led the firm’s private equity industry group and transaction advisory services group. While I remain heavily involved in the private equity industry, I am primarily focused on bringing the firm's consulting services to every industry the firm serves.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Lara, and our three adult children. I’m also an avid reader on the topics of business strategy and history.
