I provide audit, tax, and consulting services to governmental entities — cities, townships, counties, and special purpose governments. I also specialize in corporate tax and assurance services for retail automobile dealerships. In addition, I provide tax services to tax increment financing entities as well as individuals.
I feel my greatest accomplishments in the time I’ve been with the firm — nearly 30 years — are the continued, long-standing professional and personal relationships I’ve established with both clients and colleagues. My clients appreciate that I bring extensive experience to our relationships. I remain in contact throughout the year for advice and to ensure they stay up to speed in this fast-changing environment. Hopefully, they view me as an important asset in their operations because I provide many services beyond audits and completing tax returns.
The Michigan Municipal League and the Michigan Township Association often ask me to present on various issues, including GASB technical updates, tax incremental financing, and industry updates.
I am a member of the AICPA, the Michigan Association of CPAs, the OGFOA, and the MGFOA, where I’m on the board of directors. I received my B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University.
I enjoy golfing and attending just about any sporting event; this includes my children’s varsity sports activities. I spend most of my free time with my wife and two children as well as close family and friends.
