As a leader in the firm’s government accounting professionals (PMGAP) group, I provide consulting services to various governmental entities, including K-12 districts and charter schools, cities, towns, and local special districts. I specialize in supporting clients to increase the efficiency of their financial operations to leverage their financial resources to best meet the needs of their communities.
My parents were both public servants — a police officer and a public school teacher — and I was always drawn to similar purpose-driven professions. For nearly two decades, I’ve proudly served state and local communities throughout Colorado. I began my career as a budget analyst for the City of Aurora and Jeffco Public Schools. I’ve also served as the director of budget and policy for the Colorado Department of Revenue and the director of finance and operations for the Colorado Charter School Institute.
I found my way to the firm through my master’s in accounting program at the University of Colorado at Denver. I was drawn to the firm’s culture, flexibility, and people-first values. Once I had the opportunity to experience the firm and my future teammates firsthand, I was hooked.
I deliver training to local governments and schools throughout Colorado on topics including financial compliance, internal controls, government budgeting, treasury management, and forecasting. I’m a Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations through ASBO International, and I belong to the COCPA, the CGFOA and the ASBO. I earned a B.A. in economics and a B.A. in French from Colorado State University.
Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my husband and kids skiing, biking, and paddle-boarding, or spoiling our tiny four-legged fur babies.
