September 23, 2024 / 1 min read

California’s statewide Homelessness Data Integration project was awarded with a Best of California Award. The project, led by Plante Moran, provides a comprehensive data-driven perspective of homelessness in California.

California’s Homelessness Data Integration project was honored with a Best of California Award in the Best Collaboration category at the 2024 California Government Innovation Summit.

The Best of California Awards commend state and local government and educational institutions that have contributed to California’s Information Technology systems and services.

In 2022, the State of California selected Plante Moran to lead the development of the Homeless Data Integration System (HDIS). The project unified California’s previously regionally siloed data sources to create a comprehensive data-driven standpoint of efforts to alleviate homelessness. By providing California with an integrated, end-to-end data solution, HDIS aids the state in its attempt to better understand and help address the issue of homelessness.
